n view of the speed that the current situation is moving we will be bringing you short updates as and when we receive them.

Two items for this evening –

• to clarify the recent DVSA statement in regard to the cancellation and rescheduling of tests because of coronavirus. There is no minimum notice, you can cancel on the day and request a refund or reschedule.  However, please be aware that the contact centre has been inundated with calls thus there is a significant wait, DVSA is working rapidly to resolve this.

• There was a rumour that ADIs would not be allowed to sit in on tests.  This is misinformation.  There is no change to business as usual arrangements with the exception of the obvious advice already sent to candidates and ADIs – if they are exhibiting symptoms they should not attend the test centre and follow government advice regards self-isolation.

This is a fast changing situation so this advice is current until further notice.

We would now advise you to:

  • Let students with tests booked know that they can cancel at short notice and won’t lose money.
  • Tell students not to come for a test or lesson with a fever, cough cold or if they are feeling unwell, and to wash their hands before they come out.
  • Let them know you will be using santiser and wipes to keep the car clean before and after each lesson.
