And how was the first day back?  Some feedback from our Facebook group:

  • Alan Stubbs is looking forward to his day off on Wednesday
  • Suzanne Cokayne loved it and said it was soooooo good to be back
  • Fiona Clarke flipping loved it
  • Amy Mitchell found the mask do-able
  • 2 of Craig Bailey’s pupils found it awkward to hear properly
  • Neil Kershaw said nice to be back
  • Nihar Shah ‘Luv it’
  • and Lin Julie, who posted in great detail says best not to use kitchen roll for cleaning, and she needs to work out how to be able to drink more

Be good to hear how you got on, if you have gone back.  Well actually it would be good to hear from you if you haven’t too.

The Welsh First Minister has again scored highly in my estimation by answering not one but two questions about instructors!  You can view the link here.  Thanks to Vanessa Steen for the link.  And to Peter Williams for the link to the announcement for the lifting of restrictions.

In Scotland the 2 metre rule remains in place and face coverings must be worn in shops from 10 July.  Some postcodes on the borders will not see any easing of restrictions due to local spikes, and there won’t be any crowds at football matches until at least October.  No news for ADIs.

If anybody is looking for some weekend work then Young Driver are looking for ADIs, particularly in the East of England – Peterborough, Cambridge and Norwich and also in Scotland.  All PPE will be provided by the company.  Please contact lisa@youngdriver.com if you are interested.

Many people are concerned about their glasses steaming up when using face masks.  There are a number of anti fogging products on the market, but this solution seems pretty simple and cheap!

Several people have written in to say that they have found the toolbox useful, so please do feel free to make use of it.  It’s been put together by Lin Western, Head of Training and it’s not just for members, it’s on the front page of the website.
