The Welsh Government has updated guidance on the new alert level 4 in Wales to control the spread of coronavirus in the country.

From 20 December all areas of Wales were put into alert level 4.  The Welsh Government will review this on 7 January.

Given the new highly infectious strain of Coronavirus, additional measures have been introduced in Great Britain to restrict movement and the spread of the disease.

As a result the Welsh Government has decided to suspend motorcycle training and testing in Wales until the restrictions are lifted.

You can read more about the measures on the Welsh Government’s website.

Motorcycle, tractor lessons and CBTs

The Welsh Government has decided that motorcycle and tractor lessons should not take place in Wales from 23 December until the restrictions are lifted.

CBTs should be suspended in Wales until the restrictions are lifted.

You should not travel out of this area to give training or to take a pupil for a test.

Motorcycle and tractor tests

The Welsh Government has decided that motorcycle and tractor tests will be suspended in Wales until the restrictions are lifted.

If you have booked a test for any of your pupils in Wales from 23 December until the date of the Welsh Government’s formal review, the test will cancelled and you will be automatically refunded.

You will need to contact your pupil to let them know.

Motorcycle manoeuvring area (MMAs) bookings

We will also be cancelling any MMA booking in Wales until the restrictions are lifted.
