Very well done to our member Neil Wightman for winning the Best Small to Medium-sized business category at the 2020 Best Business Awards.  These are one of the UK’s highest profile business awards with entries from across all sectors.  The Chairman of the judging panel congratulated Neil on his passion for road safety and for building an outstanding business that has grown in ten years by word of mouth, and becoming a leading ambassador in his locality of Leicestershire.

Neil is Vice Chairman of our member group the Hinckley and District Driver Trainers Association.  Well done Neil!

Came across this very shocking tale of a candidate taking a theory test at a venue where there was no wheelchair access, after he had stipulated his needs when booking.  We are pleased to see it is being taken up by DVSA, but surely it should never have happened in the first place.  You can read the article here.

NJC have created some updated guidelines on the latest changes on the Part 3 and Standards Check due to COVID-19. These have replaced the previous version with the most up to date information. They can be seen here.

If you should wish to request your fault analysis report the email address is now

We had a query about the recent DVSA email about the Trainer Booking Service.  To clarify – this is for vocational trainers, and their booking service is now open for a rolling 10 week period.

During lockdown we promoted the NJC talk line, for anyone needing a sympathetic ear.  A number of the folk we had at the end of the phone line are trained counsellors, some have worked with Samaritans.  They were able to provide a valuable service that was much appreciated by those who accessed it.  If you are in need of some support please feel free to contact us and we will put you in touch with someone who listen to you.

The NJC continues to be dedicated to help you in these challenging times and we hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy.  Please feel free to contact us for help and support.
