The National Standard for Driver and Rider Trainers explains that driving instructors must know and understand the requirements of licence acquisition and the content of the practical driving test for the vehicle being used. The difference between driving, serious and dangerous faults on the practical test.

In this session, we will discuss and explain:

  • Legal requirements of a driving test and what must be included.
  • The difference between driving, serious and dangerous faults
  • How faults are assessed and not “fault marked”.
  • Deciphering the DL25 and where faults are marked.
  • Myths, misinformation, and terminology.
  • The benefits of sitting in on driving tests.
