Waiting Rooms

Rain, rain and more rain

We look forward to the opening of waiting rooms for ADIs during tests, which is due to start tomorrow at 9 centres in England and 1 in Scotland.  And we very much hope that other test centres will follow quickly, to avoid more pictures of this kind.

The BBC here in the South West have covered it well this week, with an article and a television interview.

If you would like to sign the petition on waiting rooms you can do so here.

Autonomous Vehicles and the Driver Training Industry – a European wide survey

This survey is part of an EU-funded project called Drive2theFuture. Drive2theFuture’s mission is to prepare users to accept and use connected, cooperative and automated vehicles. It aims to do this by ensuring that the emerging new technologies meet the needs and wants of users themselves.

As of part this process Drive2theFuture will develop training programmes, policies and other costefficient measures to promote autonomous vehicles in the marketplace and to equip people to use them safely. The results of this survey will inform that process.

By participating in this survey, you will help us understand the views of those in the driver training sector as we see growing levels of autonomy introduced on our roads. It shouldn’t take more than
10 minutes to answer the questions, and you can withdraw from the questionnaire at any time.

You can access the survey via this link.
