We will be holding a training webinar on the rules for Part 3 tests and Standards Checks under the Covid 19 rules.
The panel will consist of Lynne Barrie, Matt Stone, Lin Western and Andrew Love. It will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday 2 September.
To register for the webinar please click here. Questions should be submitted in advance to Andrew Love, firstname.lastname@example.org.
For anyone wanting to take a Part 3 test before their 2 year period is up, the following information will be useful to you:
Regulation requires that a test must be booked before the 2 year qualifying date, there is no requirement that it has to be taken before that date. If, when the booking system reopens, there are no suitable dates, you can book and pay for a test to hold. That will satisfy the requirements of the regulations.
Bookings for Part 3 tests opened today.
With Scottish instructors going back we have had some queries on face coverings and Scottish Government have referred us to the following:
The expectation is that instructors and clients will both wear face coverings, subject to any exemptions that apply by either. For instructors, it’s stated at the Delivering Lessons section which states in bullet 3:
• wash your hands and put a face covering on prior to the meet and greet
This is reinforced in the first bullet of the Face Covering guidance which states:
• ensure the covering covers your mouth and nose and that the top of the face covering remains above the nose at all times. Make sure there are no gaps between your face and the covering.
