Those of you who were around at the time will remember that during the pandemic we offered a support service to members who just needed to talk to someone. A virtual hug!

We have recently become aware that a number of members are experiencing stress and mental health issues and may possibly benefit from similar support.

We have some volunteers who have stepped forward to help us to provide this. They are willing and able to be a listening ear to members who would like to talk. They won’t be advising (due to staying in their professional boundaries), other than perhaps pointing people in the direction of further specialised help. But we are aware that people often find that having someone to vent to can be sufficient in itself to be helpful.

If you would like to take advantage of this service, please find below a list of our volunteers with their phone numbers. Feel free to give any of them a call – if they don’t answer then please leave a voicemail and they will call you back as soon as possible. They are all working ADIs or PDIs themselves so you can appreciate the difficulties.
